The Centenary Gala that Will Make History

GIM is hosting the Centenary Gala to honour Founder Fr. Romuald D’Souza on 20th December 2025. It will mark one of the most defining turning points in the institute’s journey. For the first time in its 30-year history, GIM will formally introduce an alumni-driven endowment framework, also making it the first private business school in India to secure inaugural commitments for such a fund.

At the event, GIM will launch the GIM Endowment Fund, opening with a ₹5 crore commitment pool and paving the way for a first-phase target of ₹20 crore. This moment will not merely be ceremonial, it will represent a structural shift in how the institution will be strengthened, sustained, and shaped for the future.

A New Legacy

Under the guidance of Director Prof. Ajit Parulekar, the endowment will be positioned as a long-term asset dedicated to advancing GIM’s strategic vision. The fund will support:

  • Merit-linked scholarships and access for deserving students
  • Research advancement and faculty excellence
  • Long-horizon academic initiatives
  • Infrastructure that reinforces innovation and learning

With this step, GIM will join the global league of institutions where alumni stewardship defines the arc of institutional growth.

Recognition that Will Set New Benchmarks

At the Gala, GIM will unveil a first-of-its-kind recognition ecosystem that honours founding contributors. The three monumental features planned include:

The Star Walk – India’s first alumni donor recognition walkway, inspired by the Hollywood Walk of Fame, designed as a lasting tribute for those laying the foundation of GIM’s future.
The Wall of Honour – A campus-shaping installation that will tell the story of alumni leadership and philanthropy.
Named Buildings and Spaces – Marking the legacy of founding endowment donors through future campus infrastructure.

These will not merely be spaces. They will become markers of contribution, impact, and shared pride.
