From Classmates to Soulmates: Power Couples of GIM

GIM is special to every student who has walked through its doors.
For many, it marked the beginning of a successful career or helped shape lifelong ambitions.

But for some, GIM became even more special, not just as the starting point of their professional journey, but as the place where they found their life partners.

Across classrooms, hostel corridors, late-night discussions, and even alumni reunions, GIM has quietly witnessed countless stories that grew from friendship into family. Here are just a few of those inspiring journeys.

Prasad Shejale & Poonam Shejale (Class of 1997)

What began as a classroom connection at GIM evolved into a lifelong partnership rooted in shared values, ambition, and mutual respect. Prasad and Poonam Shejale, both from the Class of 1997, built not only meaningful careers but also a life together.

While Poonam went on to take on leadership roles at CitiusTech, Prasad chose the entrepreneurial path as the Founder & CEO of LS Digital. Their journey stands as a testament to how GIM fosters growth that extends beyond professional success, nurturing bonds that last a lifetime.

Kedar Borker (Class of 2017) & Sanskriti Geete (Class of 2018)

A classic senior-junior story with a modern twist, Kedar and Sanskriti crossed paths at GIM, where a shared passion for creativity and innovation brought them closer.

Today, both are thriving entrepreneurs shaping Goa’s cultural and entrepreneurial landscape. Kedar is the founder of Soul Travelling, a venture that uncovers Goa’s lesser-known stories and experiences, while Sanskriti is the creative force behind THE IMLEE JAR café, bringing international vegetarian cuisine to the region. Their story reflects how GIM nurtures not just future leaders, but partnerships built on shared dreams.

These stories remind us that GIM is more than an institution, it’s a place where connections endure, evolve, and grow into something far greater than imagined.

Do you have a GIM love story of your own? Or have you witnessed friends journey from classmates to life partners?

We’d love to hear and celebrate those stories.
