Some memories from GIM stay with us forever. The late-night snacks, unplanned conversations, familiar faces, and the quiet comfort of knowing you belonged.
Among those familiar faces is Jaggu, a name that instantly brings a smile to generations of GIM alumni.

Jaggu has been a part of the GIM family for decades. His journey to Goa began when a friend from Uttarakhand brought him along. When that friend eventually left, Jaggu found himself alone in a new place, far from home. But he doesn’t see that moment as abandonment. He sees it as the beginning of something far more meaningful.
Because at GIM, Jaggu found a family.
Over the years, his shop became much more than a place to grab a quick bite or a cup of tea. It became a space for laughter, music, stories, and everyday moments that quietly shaped campus life. When GIM moved campuses, Jaggu moved with it, carrying forward the same warmth, familiarity, and connection.
Today, Jaggu has a family of his own, with two wonderful children. And he remains deeply grateful for the friendships, memories, and kindness he has experienced through GIM. What touches him most is that the bond hasn’t faded with time.
Even now, alumni from across the world reach out to him. Many make it a point to stop by his shop first whenever they’re back on campus, or even just visiting Goa. Whether it’s for a quick cup of tea or a long conversation filled with nostalgia, Jaggu is always there, just as he always has been.
GIM has always been about more than classrooms and careers. It’s about people. And Jaggu’s story is a reminder that the GIM community extends far beyond students and faculty, it includes everyone who has helped make this place feel like home.
