There are friendships that begin in college, drift apart, and fade away with time.
And then there are rare ones, those built on shared growth, loyalty, and a sense of belonging that never weakens.
Twenty-five years ago, two young students, Prasad Panchagnula (Class of 2000) and Rakesh Palakurthi (Class of 2001), met on campus as the only Telugu-speaking students across their respective batches. What began as casual interactions will go on to become a lifelong brotherhood, marked by shared milestones, daily conversations, and an unwavering presence in each other’s lives.
And that is perhaps one of the most meaningful roles an institution can play: creating bonds that endure, and legacies that continue to matter long after graduation.
And now, they’ve chosen the most meaningful way to celebrate that bond: by donating together to the GIM Endowment Fund. We can’t think of a better way to create a legacy out of friendship.
Years from now, when people see their names on the wall at GIM, they won’t just remember two alumni, they’ll remember their story, their bond, their friendship.
